The area still features a few original structures from the 1920s with its distinctive retro and modern architecture. 

Many of the Austinites find Bouldin Creek as one of the top areas to settle in due to its convenient location and all the local attractions. Bouldin Creek is still a safe and tranquil neighborhood that allows residents to bike or walk safely in the streets. When compared to closeby neighborhoods such as Barton Hills and Zilker, there aren’t many large families with children. This area became more suitable for creative, young professionals and students.

Schools In Bouldin Creek

Travis Heights Elementary (PK-5) and Becker Elementary both offer dual-language programs. William B. Travis High School (9-12) and Fulmore Middle School (6-8) also serve this community. The biggest institutional resident in this neighborhood is the 65-acre Texas School for the Deaf. As with all the neighborhoods that are served by AISD there are many other magnet-school choices for residents.
