There is a family-friendly upscale and scenic neighborhood located in West Austin on a hilltop called Northwest Hills, located near Hwy. 1 (MoPac). The people that live there have excellent views of the surrounding scenery, access to fine dining and shopping, great employers, and these are also in Northwest and North Austin.
Several major highways go through or adjacent to this neighborhood, a place where some of the best schools are located. There are upscale restaurants that you can find in this region as well. There are also shopping malls that are not that far away. The downtown area is uniquely positioned. You can find bike trails and hiking trails near one of the local parks.
Best Features
There are many convenient locations, great views, large homes, and a relaxed environment in Northwest Hills, all part of this West Austin affluent neighborhood. Although this was built in the 60s, close to Anderson Lane and Hwy. 1 (MoPac), there are a couple thoroughfares, a local highway, and it’s also close to Highway 360 in West Austin.
Shopping centers abound in this Northwest region of Austin, a neighborhood that is close to North Austin including cinemas, restaurants, stores, and the Arboretum and Domain are just a few minutes away. In Northwest Austin, there are high-tech businesses that permeate the area, just a mere 7 miles from downtown. These supermarkets and shopping centers that are there are part of this neighborhood, along with a large number of excellent restaurants. Anderson Lane will take you to additional restaurants and stores that are just east of this Highway.
There are sponsored annual events that you can participate in, including 4 July parade which is all part of this neighborhood Association. Regardless of your religion, you can attend the community center of the Dell Jewish, where you can also participate with the weight room, exercise classes, and swim in the heated pool year-round. If you have kids, there are summer camps that may interest them, plus you can attend synagogues and Jewish schools. There is an Austin community pool that is close by, plus a regular swimming pool, close to Westover Hills Club.
Apartments And Real Estate
Northwest Hills was constructed prior to the 70s. Remodeling in certain areas have been done. The price of the homes can range up to $1.5 million, and there are townhomes and condos that are about $100,000 or more. You can see the floor plans for the homes, many of which have large kitchens, plus they have spectacular views, will tend lawns, and swimming pools. There is also an absence of homeowner association fees which is a primary benefit for those that live in this neighborhood.
